IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE

NEW FEDERAL REGULATIONS

Upon information and belief;

As of December 19th, 2008 all new pools are required to be built with drain covers that comply with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Spa Safety Act and all existing public pools are required to comply by upgrading their drain covers. This Act is named after the late granddaughter of former Secretary of State Jim Baker, Virginia Graeme baker, who died at the age of 7 in a tragic drowning accident due caused by drain entrapment. The drain covers required by this Act are designed to reduce this type of entrapment risk in swimming pools and spas.

Public Pools: Public pools should close until they comply with this important legislation. Please call us today at 305‐402-1446 to schedule a time to make this important safety upgrade.

Non‐Public Pools: Most already built pools and spas have main drain covers that are not compliant with this act. Although it is our understanding that The Act does not legally require non‐public pool owners to upgrade in order to comply, we nevertheless strongly suggest you do so today.
